BASF Corp. has launched a new website, www.mass-transit.basf.us, targeted to the mass transit industry.
Mass transit is typically defined as large-scale public transportation through various vehicle segments, of which, BASF has specifically focused its efforts around bus and passenger rail.
“Generally servicing urban and metropolitan areas, this market is driven by an increasing need for sustainable mobility coupled with enhanced passenger comfort and safety requirements,” said Tomas Lopez, BASF mass transit team leader. “BASF’s broad portfolio of products and innovation platforms helps us to serve this industry at every step of the manufacturing process.”
The new website provides easy access to the company’s diverse portfolio of products and solutions currently available to the mass transit industry, including coatings, melamine foams, polyurethane systems, engineering plastics, epoxies, mobile emissions catalysts, lubricants, acrylic resins, metal organic frameworks (MOFs), and chemical intermediates. Featured applications include innovations in interior, exterior, powertrain, battery, light-weighting, infrastructure, and natural gas fuel systems.
The site also includes an “Ask the Mass Transit Expert,” which lists answers to many commonly posed questions about industry-related topics as well as offerings available from BASF.
