Aug. 13, 2013
Time is running out for cycling enthusiasts to register to ride in the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada’s (RTC) Viva Bike Vegas 2013 Gran Fondo Pinarello Sponsored by Zappos.com occurring on Saturday, Sept. 21.
Cyclists interested in riding in Viva Bike Vegas should register now and they will also receive access to Interbike, the largest bicycle trade event in North America.
The annual cycling event offers routes for all skill levels, including a 104-mile Gran Fondo, a 61-mile Metric Century and a 17-mile ride. This year’s RTC Viva Bike Vegas 2013 Gran Fondo will begin under the lights of the famous Las Vegas Strip and go through downtown Las Vegas. The longer routes will traverse the beautiful Las Vegas Valley bringing riders into the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and near Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
RTC Viva Bike Vegas 2013 Gran Fondo is again partnering with Interbike and will occur at the conclusion of the cycling trade show that gathers more than 1,100 cycling-related brands and close to 24,000 total attendees annually. Participants who register online for RTC Viva Bike Vegas will also receive passes to attend Interbike at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
Space is limited for this unique cycling experience, and online registration will close a week before the event, on Sept. 14.
