MARTA’s Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity is hosting a regional small and minority business summit from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 26th to share information about upcoming opportunities for collaborations, projects and initiatives throughout the Atlanta region.
The summit will be held at MARTA Headquarters, 2424 Piedmont Road N.E., Atlanta, which is accessible from the Lindbergh Center Station on the red and gold lines. Participants can attend either session as the information presented will be the same.
Regional stakeholders and contractors will be on hand to assist attendees in the prequalifying process that is required for those who intend to become subcontractors. It is the policy of MARTA to create a level playing field on which small and minority-owned firms can compete fairly for U.S. Department of Transportation-assisted contracts.
MARTA’s Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity (DEO) is dedicated to administrating small and minority business programs, ensuring that MARTA complies with regulations, educates small and minority business owners, and conducts outreach to these businesses.
MARTA is committed to providing small and minority-owned firms throughout metro Atlanta with access to training, technical assistance and business development resources.
