Metrolinx announced the appointment of Greg Percy to the role of president, Go Transit, following an extensive international search process. He will assume the role effective Nov. 9
Percy brings over 30 years of experience in the transportation industry to the role, most recently as vice president, Go Capital Infrastructure. He began his career with Canadian Pacific Railway where he held increasingly senior roles in areas including marketing and operations. He joined Go Transit in 2000 as director, rail services and left for a short time to assume new challenges at Giffels Associates Ltd. before returning to Go Transit as vice president, operations.
“Go Transit’s growth and expansion remains a vital part of our Big Move and Next Wave strategy,” said J. Robert S. Prichard, chair of the Metrolinx Board. “Having a leader with Greg’s first-hand knowledge of the organization and broad transportation experience is going to be integral in transforming Metrolinx into a regional transportation services provider.”
“I have had the opportunity to work alongside Greg for some years now and look forward to his leadership of Go Transit,” said Bruce McCuaig, Metrolinx president and CEO. “I know he has a great focus on Go Transit’s customers, service delivery and the service’s capital infrastructure construction. I would also like to thank Gary McNeil for his many years of dedicated service to Go Transit and wish him well in his retirement.”
