    MI: MAX Transit Announces Upcoming Travel Training Classes

    The Macatawa Area Express (MAX) transit system is offering two free travel training classes for people who would like to learn how to ride the fixed bus routes and plan their trips by bus.

    The Macatawa Area Express (MAX) transit system is offering two free travel training classes for people who would like to learn how to ride the fixed bus routes and plan their trips by bus.

    The upcoming Travel Training classes are scheduled for 4 p.m.-5:15 p.m. Feb. 12 and April 16 and are held in the conference room of the Padnos Transportation Center, 171 Lincoln Ave. in downtown Holland, Mich. 

    In the class, participants will get an overview of each of the fixed bus routes, and learn how to read the bus schedules, plan trips and make transfers.  The class also includes personal safety tips and transit system rules.  Participants receive a workbook and transit system informational materials.

    The classes are free, but advance registration is required.
