Foothill Transit is now running three fast-charge, zero emissions Ecoliner buses on Line 855, a community connector that serves Claremont and Pomona, with stops near the Claremont Colleges, the Claremont Transit Center and Pomona Transit Center.
In August, Foothill Transit made Line 291, which serves Pomona, the region's first all-electric, fast-charge bus line in Southern California. The agency now has a fleet of 15, 35-foot zero-emissions vehicles, manufactured by Proterra LLC out of South Carolina, and intends to test the buses on other lines that connect to the bus charging station at the Pomona Transit Center.
Foothill Transit recently purchased two new 40-foot Catalyst electric buses from Proterra and expects delivery at the end of Summer 2015
