MatBus welcomes the community to help in celebrating Stand Up 4 Transportation Day April 9.
Stand Up 4 Transportation Day is celebrated nation-wide, and is meant to promote awareness and knowledge about the importance of transportation as a vital link in our communities. Whether it's roads, bridges, infrastructure projects, public transportation or bike share programs, the transportation sector is helping to power the American economy and getting the job done for our citizens.
How can you get involved?
1. Take a fun transportation-related selfie or photo.
2. Post the photo to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram on April 9.
3. Tag your photo with #SU4TFM.
4. Tell your friends what transportation means to you!
If you upload your photo with the hashtag on April 9, you will be eligible to win Beats by Dre earbuds, a FitBit, or other prizes. There will also be posters with transportation-related facts placed on the buses and around the metro to promote the day.
This event is organized by MatBus, Great Rides Bike Share, Metro COG, and the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute at NDSU.
