IndyGo Kicks off Dump the Pump, Ride & Win Campaign
IndyGo is celebrating the American Public Transportation Association's 10th Annual National Dump the Pump Day with a month of events and prizes.
"National Dump the Pump Day is Thursday, June 18, but this year IndyGo is inviting people to make a month long commitment to sustainable transportation," said Mike Terry, president and CEO of IndyGo. "Indianapolis has a great network of options, making it easy for people to get around by walking, biking, taking transit or even car share."
Throughout June, IndyGo will be rewarding people for dumping the pump. The campaign is simple; any IndyGo bus pass can be registered at IndyGo.net/DTP and each trip a person takes on that pass will enter them to win cool prizes. IndyGo will be giving away weekly prizes as well as large awards at the end of the month, such as IndyGo rides for a year, Trek commuter bikes, memberships to the Pacers Bikeshare and BlueIndy electric car share and more.
On June 1 a kickoff event will be held on the southwest quad of Monument Circle from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Hosted by B105.7's Sean Copeland, this event will feature good music, prizes, Chick-fil-A snacks and information on going car-free from Pacers Bikeshare, BlueIndy, Commuter Connect, Downtown Indy and IndyCog to name a few.
