New York Q2, Q110 Bus Route Changes for 2016 Horse Racing Season
MTA New York City Transit and MTA Bus announce that the Q2 and Q110 bus routes will once again directly serve Belmont Park for the 2016 horse racing season. Effective Friday, April 29, until Sunday, July 17, 2016, Q2 and Q110 buses will discharge, layover, and pick-up customers in the designated stops at Belmont Park near the escalators to the LIRR/Racetrack overpass, and will use the stops as indicated in the attached map.
These changes will only be in effect when Belmont Park is open. There is no racing on Mondays and Tuesdays, with the exceptions of Monday, May 30 (Memorial Day), and Monday, July 4 (Independence Day). In addition, there will be no racing on Wednesday, April 25, May 1, May 8, May 29, June 6, and Thursday, June 9. The Belmont Stakes will be held on Saturday, June 11. When Belmont Park is open, buses will operate as follows:
- Eastbound Q2 and Q110 to Belmont Park: Buses travel on their regular route to the Cross Island Parkway northbound entrance ramp, and turn left into the racetrack turnaround area via Lane #1. Customers will be discharged at the escalator leading to the LIRR/Racetrack overpass. After discharging customers, buses will continue forward to their layover area.
- Westbound Q2 and Q110 to Jamaica: From the layover location, buses will turn right into Lane #3, pick-up customers at the designated Q2 stop and Q110 stop, then continue via their regular routes.
Buses operate on their regular routes when Belmont Park is closed.
