The VIA Metropolitan Transit Board of Trustees will host two public hearings to seek input on the South/West Corridor Transit Improvements Project to expand Primo service and facilities on two of the highest-use corridors—Zarzamora Street and Military Drive.

The route planned for the Military Drive Primo runs from Interstate 37 on the east to the Kel-Lac Transit Center on the west. The route planned for the Zarzamora Primo runs from Madla Transit Center on the south, going north to Fredericksburg Road, and connects to the South Texas Medical Center Transit Center.

The public hearings are scheduled to be held during the Tuesday, April 26 meeting of the VIA Board of Trustees at the VIA Metro Center, 1021 San Pedro Ave. The first hearing begins at 5:30 p.m., and will address the acquisition of temporary and permanent easements along the corridors. The second hearing begins at 6 p.m., and will cover the installation of bus shelters at Cassiano and Escobar parks.

South/West Corridor Transit Improvements Project exhibits will be displayed during an Open House, prior to the public hearings, beginning at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. Written comments may be submitted by email to [email protected], or at the public hearings, or mailed to Community Relations, P.O.
