The CEO of Transdev Canada, Dominique Lemay, has announced that the transport carrier innovator will, in the next few weeks, acquire vehicles that are entirely electric.

Transdev Canada is currently negotiating to add electric vehicles to its fleet. How these electric vehicles will be distributed between urban and school transport remains to be determined. Innovation is at the very heart of Transdev's values and remains paramount for the entire group. Therefore, it was crucial that Transdev Canada take an innovative approach to getting greener.

"In recent years, Transdev has been able to test electric buses in several locations around the world. And this is why we are able to proudly announce that we are not in testing phase anymore; this type of vehicle has proven its reliability. Therefore, we will acquire electric buses that we can deploy on our routes," confirmed Lemay.

The acquisition of these fully electric buses represents a considerable investment. However, Transdev Canada believes that it is important to innovate and offer new mobility solutions.

In the coming weeks, various consultations with Transdev clients will be held to determine which routes will be used to introduce the electric buses.
