Alexandria Transit Company (DASH), in partnership with Alexandria’s Family and Community Engagement Center (FACE) of Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS), has announced it will offer free rides to customers who donate school supplies on Friday, August 11 and Monday, August 14.
Passengers who donate new school supplies (i.e. backpacks, notebooks, crayons, etc.) when they board the bus on Friday, August 11 and Monday, August 14, will receive one free ride on DASH. Riders are asked to give their school supply donations to the bus operator when boarding.
Last Year, FACE was able to help thousands of students start the school year with backpacks and essential school supplies to get their studying off on the right foot.
