USDOT Secretary Chao to Address APTA Expo 2017 in Atlanta
The American Public Transportation Association welcomed U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Elaine L. Chao to its Annual Meeting and EXPO 2017 — the largest public transportation expo in the world. Secretary Chao will be the keynote speaker at the Closing General Session of this year’s APTA Annual Meeting in Atlanta. She will be reporting on the administration’s priorities for the future of the industry and the principles for developing an infrastructure initiative by year’s end.
APTA’s triennial EXPO will feature the latest innovative technologies and services that enhance passengers’ experiences and enable public transit systems to operate more efficiently. Annual meeting sessions will address a wide range of topics including emergency preparedness and disaster relief, security, safety, federal funding, public-private partnerships, and workforce development.
