The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority has announced it will offer free rides to veterans in observance of Veterans Day. Veterans are asked to show DART operators their military ID when boarding the bus on Friday, Nov. 10 and Saturday, Nov. 11 to receive free rides.
“DART is incredibly appreciative of the service these men and women have given to our country,” said DART Chief External Affairs Officer Amanda Wanke. “Since veterans are frequent users of public transportation, offering free rides in observance of Veterans Day is a small way we can show our gratitude to those who have served.”
