RideKC Adds New & Expanded Bus Service
RideKC introduced a new express route to Gardner and Edgerton businesses; added night service on two popular routes between Johnson County and Kansas City, Missouri; added service to the Tiffany Springs area; and added later trips in Independence, Missouri.
596 3-Trails-Edgerton Express
This new route will run Monday through Saturday every 60 minutes to improve access to jobs in southern Johnson County. The 3-Trails Transit Center will connect to several routes including Troost MAX, 28 Blue Ridge, 29 Blue Ridge Limited, 75 75th Street, 99 South KC Flex and 399 Raytown Flex.
401 Metcalf-Plaza and 475 Quivira-75th Street
Both routes will add night service to improve access to jobs, education, and shopping in the Johnson County and Kansas City, Mo. area. These extended times link riders to other RideKC routes including Main MAX and Troost MAX. These routes connect riders to UMKC, the Country Club Plaza, and the Metcalf and Waldo areas.
301 Green, 302 Blue, 303 Purple, 305 Orange, 306 Red
These routes serving Independence will extend service hours until 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. For more details on the extended service, please view the service bulletin.
234 Boardwalk-Antioch
The 234 route will expand to serve jobs in East and West Tiffany Springs. Buses will add hourly service throughout the middle of the day Monday through Friday. Share on Twitterand Facebook!
12 12th Street
Route times will adjust on the 12th Street route on Saturdays to help keep buses on schedule. Eastbound times will change by a few minutes, and westbound buses will no longer stop at Nowlin Hall.
