SamTrans Launches New Routes: ECR with Fewer Stops and a Direct Connection to SFO Terminals

Last month, SamTrans launched two new services. The ECR Rapid travels from the Redwood City Transit Center to Daly City BART serving 12 stops along El Camino Real, while Route SFO runs regular direct service between the Millbrae Transit Center and all San Francisco International Airport terminals.

The ECR Rapid runs from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays. The ECR is currently SamTrans' highest performing route, with approximately 9,000 riders per weekday.

Route SFO runs from 5:45 a.m. to midnight on weekdays, 8:20 a.m. to 12:15 a.m. on Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. on Sundays. The route is designed to provide an easy connection from Caltrain to SFO, as the bus comes directly to the Millbrae Station platform. The buses running this route have an original design and a luggage rack for rider's convenience.
