RTD Van Go! to be Introduced in San Joaquin County
San Joaquin Regional Transit District announced the launch of a new pilot program, “RTD Van Go!”, at a series of events in September.
RTD Van Go! is a new ride-share service that will help residents travel more easily within Northern San Joaquin County. RTD will launch the limited pilot program in October and expand the program throughout San Joaquin County beginning in January 2019.
“Tailor-made-trips are a click or call away with RTD Van Go!,” said RTD CEO Donna DeMartino. “Residents start where they are and go where they want, fast. This connected service combines vans and free transfers to buses to continue longer trips. Unlike some other transportation options, RTD Van Go! will even pick up passengers in rural San Joaquin County.”
Every RTD Van Go! vehicle is wheelchair accessible and Van Go! drivers are trained, licensed, and fully prepared to help with accessibility needs.
To ride RTD Van Go! starting on October 1, consumers will download the Ecolane app from the Apple App Store or Google Play OR visit sjRTD.com/VanGo. They will also be able to call 1-800-For-Ride (800-367-7433) to learn more or reserve a ride.
