Vegas Golden Knights, RTC Team Up Again to Offer the “Golden Knights Express,” Nonstop Transit Service from New Park and Ride Locations
Sept. 17, 2018
Vegas Golden Knights and the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada announced the return of the “Golden Knights Express” to provide fans throughout the valley with a convenient, safe and affordable option to travel to and from home games at T-Mobile Arena. For the upcoming season, the popular nonstop transit service will serve new park and ride locations, connecting every corner of the valley with the arena for just $4 roundtrip.
“We are committed to ensuring an enjoyable game day experience for our fans,” said Vegas Golden Knights President Kerry Bubolz. “The routes offered through the Golden Knights Express will provide our fans with additional options for arriving to and departing our home games in a convenient manner. We are extremely pleased to partner with the RTC on this endeavor and look forward to working with them on providing outstanding service to our fans throughout the valley.”
“Not only is it affordable and convenient to let RTC do the driving, it’s fun to ride with fellow fans to the games,” said Tina Quigley, RTC general manager. “It was an easy decision for us to continue the Golden Knights Express service to ensure all Southern Nevadans, regardless of where they live, have a safe, convenient and affordable way to get to and from the T-Mobile Arena for Vegas Golden Knights games. We are proud and honored to partner with the team again and look forward to another great season.”
The RTC will operate four Golden Knights Express routes during the 2018-2019 Vegas Golden Knights season. These routes will begin operation for preseason games, Sunday, Sept. 16. The RTC’s normal residential fares — $2 each way — will apply.
Customers can conveniently park at one of four park and ride locations, board the Golden Knights Express and travel directly to a stop near T-Mobile Arena. All routes will pick up and drop off at the stop, where Frank Sinatra Drive connects with an access road just north of the Excalibur parking garage. From the stop, it is approximately a 10-minute walk to the arena.
