The Breathe-Safe System is a patented system that provides new Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation Technology (UVGI) for transit vehicles. This new technology kills harmful viruses, bacteria, and mold that are present in the air of a transit vehicle.
The System can be customized per customer bus/rail/trolley specifications or it can be a fixed kit. Complete System: Our Customized Kits will include all the standard system components and all specifically fabricated mounting hardware.
Standard system components are:
- Ballast(s): 12vdc or 24vdc or 37.5vdc 1 lamp or 2 lamps options. 2-years warranty
- Lamp(s): High output available for any required size and any special orders. Most popular existing sizes: 13”, 16”, 19”, 20”, 33”, 36”, 42”, 51”
- Filter(s): Built per specifications to fit any dimensions. Reusable & water washable
- Mounting Hardware: Lamp brackets & holders with vibration dampers, all other customized brackets/plates, sight glass, safety switch, fuses and relays as needed, cords/wires strain relief
Fixed Kit includes:

- Lamp(s): High output Any existing size: 13”, 16”, 19”, 20”, 33”, 36”, 42”, 51”. Lamp holders with mounting brackets, and sight glass included.
Lamps
All lamps are High Output 1-year life, unless 2-years lamps are specified. All lamps are heat shrink/Teflon sleeved for shatter proof, safety and protection.
Existing sizes: 13”, 16”, 19”, 20”, 33”, 36”, 42”, 51”. Special orders accepted.
Filters
Constructed of 100% woven AAA 81591 TN-Polypropylene in the front and back layers and 100% woven AAA 7154WL-Polypropylene in the accumulation layer. Holding capacity of ASHRAE 120grams, dust arrestance of 88% ASHRAE and initial resistance of 0.14in. W.G @1200CFM across all layers. Reusable & Easy to clean with water.
