According to new data released by the SEPTA Transit Police Department, the agency saw the largest one-year drop in serious crimes in its 43-year history.
L.A. Metro finished retrofitting all of its buses with new barriers that fully enclose and protect bus operators while TriMet’s safety efforts have improved with the passage of SB 1553.
The agency’s campaign, “Human trafficking isn’t always easy to spot,” encourages NJ Transit customers to report suspected incidents of trafficking and is part of NJ Transit’s existing “RIDE KIND” campaign.
Through the Youth-Informed Radical Vision of Safety Evaluation Framework, put together by this partnership, BART is working to encourage girls and gender-expansive youth to play a role in making transit spaces safer for everyone.
