People on the Move: AECOM, Citymapper, ITS America, National Express, TransTrack Solutions Group and WSP
AECOM hired Wes Beaumont as associate vice president and digital transformation leader for the U.S. East & Latin America region. In this position, Beaumont will develop digital transformation strategies and change methodologies for AECOM’s clients and design target operating models that take advantage of connected workspaces, process automation, data analytics and artificial intelligence.
Will Phillipson joined Citymapper as chief operating officer. With more than 20 years’ experience building high performance organizations and delivering enterprise technology for the travel sector, Phillipson brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the company. He was a cofounder of SilverRail Technologies, a provider of distribution and ticketing systems for the rail industry, which sold to Expedia Group in 2017. Previous experience includes vice president strategy for ITA Software, an airline IT provider, now part of Google and powering the popular Google Flights application. He was also director of vacation packaging systems for National Leisure Group, a Boston-based travel agency.
Matt Leasure, formerly with the House Transportation & Infrastructure (T&I) Committee, will join Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America) as vice president of public policy and legislative affairs. Leasure worked with U.S. Rep. Peter DeFazio’s (D-OR) office before moving to the T&I Committee. In his role for ITS America, Leasure will lead legislative affairs and advance public policy and work with ITS America policy staff and other senior leaders to develop the association’s legislative goals.
National Express LLC named Nick Voisard to a new role as senior director of electric vehicles for North America. Voisard is an industry veteran who has more than 10 years of experience in the contracted school transportation industry. In his new role, Voisard will be responsible for managing, building and expanding National Express’ zero-emission efforts across the company’s school bus, shuttle and transit divisions. Working with current and prospective customers, Voisard will provide customized, comprehensive solutions and fleet replacement schedules to ensure customers are equipped with the necessary resources needed to allow for smooth transitions.
TransTrack Solutions Group welcomed two transit veterans to its team. Susann Poggioli will act as TransTrack’s west coast business development manager and Tim Ruggles will serve as an implementation consultant for the company.
Poggioli joins TransTrack with 20 years of transit industry experience. She began her career at Trapeze Group in 2002, followed by a brief move into biopharmaceutical sales and then on to Clever Devices and several other companies over the years.
Ruggles’ prior experience includes seven years with the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART), where he held the positions of grants program administrator, senior staff accountant and staff accountant. His time with DART gave him a solid foundation in accounting while working on financial reporting, financial and single audits and annual National Transit Database reporting. He also worked on non-financial projects within the organization, such as DART’s implementation of TransTrack, new fareboxes and paratransit scheduling software. He is a graduate of the American Public Transportation Association’s Emerging Leaders Program class of 2020.
WSP Advisory named David S. Kim, who has served as secretary of the California State Transportation Agency since 2019 as the firm’s national transportation policy and multimodal strategy principal. In his new senior vice president position, Kim will work with WSP’s Advisory national business line, collaborating with public and private senior transportation executives across the U.S. He will guide policy-making that supports federal funding for transportation projects anticipated under the U.S. Bipartisan Infrastructure Law passed in November 2021. He will also guide the delivery of transportation capital projects, including strategic planning and policy, environmental process, funding and finance and capital delivery.
