    Telvent to present its Smart City initiative at 2012 Intertraffic Amsterdam

    As the demand for better mobility in large cities continues to grow, public and private transportation operators are challenged with the use of largely outdated control systems. New solutions need to be implemented, to efficiently manage demand. Telvent SmartMobility Integrated City Management (ICM) is a unique, world-class platform that improves citizens' mobility through efficient operation of the transportation network and city resources.

    The platform empowers operators by enabling coordination between agencies. This coordination allows for reduced congestion, promotes multi-modal travel, increases drivers' safety and meets transportation demand. Additionally, ICM provides citizens with accurate pre-trip and on-route travel Information, while reducing CO2 emissions.
