Michael Arrow joins First Transit management team

Arrow appointed Assistant General Manager (AGM) of Maintenance and Technology for First Transit, at its Connecticut Transit (CTTransit) operations, headquartered in Hartford, Conn.

Michael Arrow, P.E. has recently been appointed Assistant General Manager (AGM) of Maintenance and Technology for First Transit, at its Connecticut Transit (CTTransit) operations, headquartered in Hartford, Conn. He will be taking over for former AGM Steve Warren, who recently retired after 36 years with CTTransit. In this role, Arrow will be responsible for maintenance operations at the State-owned bus transit facilities in Hartford, New Haven and Stamford, a fleet of nearly 420 vehicles, as well as several ongoing technology projects including hydrogen fuel cell buses and new fare collection systems.

According to Arrow, he is eager to join the First Transit team in Hartford and looks forward to the challenges ahead.

"It's very exciting for me to join the company and I look forward to the new and promising challenges ahead," Arrow said. "I believe my knowledge and experience will be a great asset to First Transit and our ConnDOT customer."

A professional engineer, Arrow formerly served as Chief of Quality Performance within the Department of Buses at the New York City Transit Authority where he was closely involved in bus rapid transit and the introduction of new information technologies.  He brings over 30 years of experience to First Transit.
