Bloomington Normal Public Transit Announces System Rebranding
The Bloomington Normal Public Transit System announced that it has rebranded. Effective Monday, August 13th, the Bloomington Normal Public Transit System will now operate under the new brand name Connect. While Bloomington Normal Public Transit System will continue to be the legal name for the system, the three types of service provided by the transit system will also be rebranded. Fixed route bus service will now be known as Connect Transit, Special Services paratransit service will now be known as Connect Mobility and After Hours demand response service will now be known as Connect Late Nite. Customers can expect to see a new transit map and guide as well as new signage in the next few days. Plans to create a new website and rebrand the Transit and Mobility buses will be implemented within the next two months.
"The new Connect brand was chosen because it truly embodies the mission of the transit system," said Connect General Manager Andrew Johnson. "It is the transportation option that connects Bloomington and Normal, enabling citizens to connect with all the places they want to go."
