OCTA Chair Lori Donchak Sets Direction with Transportation Initiatives

Orange County Transportation Authority chair Lori Donchak recently unveiled the OCTA board’s strategic initiatives for 2016, placing focus on delivering freeway projects, developing a transit plan that will better serve the county’s needs and maximizing funding and regional opportunities.

Each of the five initiatives outlines specific projects that are targeted for completion by the end of the year.

“These five initiatives reflect the commitment OCTA has to continuously improve transit services, freeways, streets and bikeways,” said Donchak, also a San Clemente city councilmember. “I’m looking forward to successfully implementing these goals alongside the board to improve all modes of transportation for Orange County residents, businesses and visitors.” 

The strategic initiatives unveiled by Donchak include:

•       Delivering capital projects

•       Implementing Transit 360°

•       Optimizing technological solutions

•       Collaborating with transportation agencies

•       Advocating for ample and stable transportation funding and using existing resources wisely
