The firm has also contributed to the SR 237 express lanes project in Milpitas/San Jose, the downtown San Jose light rail transit efficiency study for the VTA; a study of transit options between SR 87 and SR 101 for the City of Cupertino; the I-680 corridor study between SR 101 and the Santa Clara County line for the VTA; systems design for a 10-mile extension of the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) system to San Jose; and due diligence and environmental compliance services for a local commercial developer at locations in San Jose, Palo Alto and Cupertino.
“We are pleased to be able to continue to provide our Northern California clients a comprehensive range of services, combining our local knowledge and experience with the global expertise of the WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff organization,” said Betsy Mitton, general manager in the firm’s environment sector.
“Traditionally, our buildings group has offered structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering, lighting design, technology services, commissioning, acoustics and built ecology to San Jose clients from our San Francisco office,” said Mike Zeuger, senior associate with the firm’s buildings practice, who has relocated from San Francisco to manage the group’s new San Jose practice. “It’s very exciting that we can now offer our expertise in these services locally, along with services from the firm’s other sectors. We are looking forward to being part of the local community and will strive for excellence in the growing commercial building industry.”
“Our San Jose location enables our clients in Santa Clara County to access local knowledge and skills backed by the transportation engineering and tunneling expertise of one of the world’s leading professional services firms,” added Raul Laborin, assistant vice president in the firm’s transportation and infrastructure sector.
