Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority Hires Two New Directors

The Corpus Christi Regional Transportation (CCRTA) has announced that the positions of managing director of administration and director marketing have been filled by Robert Saldana and Kelly Coughlin, respectively.

The Corpus Christi Regional Transportation (CCRTA) has announced that the positions of managing director of administration and director marketing have been filled by Robert Saldana and Kelly Coughlin, respectively.

Robert Saldana will take over the managing director of administration role. Saldana has been with the CCRTA for five years and has played a major role in the running of the day to day operations in his previous position as the Director of Transportation.

“It has been an honor serving our riders over the past five years. As part of the senior management team, I look forward to moving ahead with the agency and improving services for the community,” said Saldana.

Saldana’s new role will include budget overview for all of the administrative and operational budgets, overseeing the departments of: Finance, Information Technology and Procurement, as well as major decision making for the agency.

Kelly Coughlin, who was serving as interim director of marketing has recently accepted the position as the agency’s director of marketing. Coughlin has been with the CCRTA for a little over a year and demonstrated strong creative initiatives for the communication strategies of the agency during her time as the Interim Director of Marketing including the Selena themed buses for Fiesta de la Flor and the NAACP bus wraps.

“This agency has given me no shortage of opportunities and I’m excited to stay on as the full time Director,” said Coughlin. “I really believe in what this agency can accomplish and I’m proud to work with such a dynamic group of people.”

The director of marketing position includes acting as the emergency contact for news stations and schools during times of catastrophe, managing all advertisements and campaign strategies, briefing all departments on strategic communication and serving as Spokesperson for the agency.

“I am very proud to have these two bright individuals working with me because the most important asset an agency has are its employees,” said CEO of CCRTA Cruz-Aedo.
