The Dayton Greater Dayton RTA was pleased to announce that Deputy Chief Operations Officer Brandon Policicchio has been named to Mass Transit magazine’s Top 40 Under 40 list for 2016.

Mass Transit is exclusively dedicated to public transportation. The annual list honors professionals who have made a significant contribution to the public transit industry throughout the United States. The honorees are nominated by peers and judged on criteria that include job commitment, industry involvement and achievement.

Policicchio is a “great example of the young talent that RTA seeks to retain,” said RTA Chief Operations Officer Jim Napier. Policicchio has lead several areas of service since beginning his career with RTA in 2012:  revenue service, dispatching operations for fixed route and paratransit, safety and security, the call center, and ADA certification.

“Millions of people utilize public transportation every year,” said Mass Transit publisher Emily Guill. “The individuals chosen for this year’s list have been stand-outs in their respective areas, and show a strong passion and commitment that exemplifies the best of the best.”

Policicchio has taken every opportunity to help RTA become a successful, vital public transportation agency, said Donaghy. “He is a team player,” Donaghy remarked.  “He’s always willing to get input and buy-in from team members before tackling big projects like the technology improvements RTA is on the verge of launching to the public.”

Policicchio has also been successful in leading teams to improve on-time performance for both fixed route and paratransit vehicles.  He is responsible for realigning people to ensure RTA has the right people focused on the right projects for the overall success of the agency.

Top 40 Under 40 will be showcased in the September/October issue of Mass Transit magazine, as well as online at:  www.masstransitmag.com.
