Mayors Council and TransLink Board to Review Public Feedback on 10 Year Vision
TransLink has concluded the public consultation on Phase One of the 10-Year Vision for Metro Vancouver Transit and Transportation. Thousands of comments were received about the proposed $2 billion plan for increasing transit services and improving roads, cycling, and walking infrastructure across the region beginning in January 2017.
TransLink received 5,183 public survey responses and hosted eight open houses across the region during the consultation, which took place Oct. 11-31. A report summarizing the public’s feedback will be posted online at tenyearvision.translink.ca and on TransLink’s website on Nov. 7.
To formally review the findings from the consultation, and to make decisions regarding the future of the Phase One Plan, TransLink’s Board of Directors and the Mayors’ Council on Regional Transportation will – for the first time – hold joint meetings on two important dates in November.
