Michael Harris-Gifford has been named a senior principal technical specialist in the Orange, California office of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff.

Michael Harris-Gifford has been named a senior principal technical specialist in the Orange, California office of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff.

In his new position, Harris-Gifford will manage and develop systems design for rail and transit projects.

Harris-Gifford has more than 30 years of professional experience in the power distribution and rail transportation industries, focusing on design-build projects. Prior to joining WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, he was executive officer, rail operations for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. He was responsible for overseeing all systems design and construction for the agency’s Crenshaw/LAX Line, Regional Connector Line, Purple Line Extension, and Exposition Line.

Harris-Gifford received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom. He is a member of the Institution of Engineering Technology.
