McMahon Associates Inc. has welcomed Mark D. Alisesky, P.E. to the firm as the mid-Atlantic regional service leader for the rail and transit sector. Alisesky is a recognized market leader, having previously worked for an international firm based in western Pennsylvania and serving in a national role for this sector’s practice. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, both regionally and nationally, to expand McMahon’s rail and transit services and clients.

In nearly a quarter century at his former employer, Alisesky’s role grew from a traffic engineer, to project engineer, to office lead, to national business sector leader. He established the firm’s Philadelphia office growing it from a start-up to more than 20 professionals focused on a diverse set of markets including rail and transit, surface transportation, aviation, planning, water, hazard mitigation and FEMA Map Modernization.

Most recently, Alisesky served as a market sector leader for national rail and transit. In this capacity he captured significant market share on the Northeast Corridor with Amtrak. He also expanded the firm’s presence with SEPTA, freight rail construction services, and high speed rail in Southern California.

As the regional service leader for McMahon, Alisesky will be focusing on extending the firm’s service reach in the Mid-Atlantic for rail and transit services, while using his transportation engineering skills to support McMahon’s other core services. McMahon has made strong inroads in the rail and transit sectors in New England and will be using that experience, along with Alisesky’s established relationships and talents to develop the business.

“We are truly excited to bring on someone with Mark’s professional character and depth of knowledge in the rail and transit sector to expand our service offerings in the Mid-Atlantic region," said Casey A. Moore, P.E., VP & mid-Atlantic regional manager for McMahon Associates Inc. “In the last five years, the shift toward multimodal services has been an area in which McMahon has excelled across all of our regions. Having someone of Mark’s caliber leading our efforts for rail and transit in Mid-Atlantic considerably increases those service capabilities in this region.”

“I have had the pleasure of teaming with McMahon on many projects in the past and have always enjoyed the relationships I built with them and the quality of their work and people,” said Mark D.
