Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) honors the memory of Morrie Fisher, the former MST board chair and active APTA member, died Monday, March 13, 2017. He was 79. Fisher served two terms as mayor of the City of Pacific Grove — 1986 to 1990 and from 2002 to 2004 was elected to the city council for four terms. Fisher served on the Board of Directors of MST for over 23 years, making him the longest serving board member in the history of MST. Throughout his career in public service and into his retirement, Fisher remained a staunch advocate for public transit and the customers served by MST. Fisher will be missed.
