Siemens Mobility Signs Collaboration with the International Transport Forum
Siemens has joined ITF Corporate Partnership Board to work on the mobility of the future.
Siemens Mobility will join transport policy-related projects on shared mobility and the decarbonization of transport as a member of the International Transport Forum’s Corporate Partnership Board, the organisation’s platform for collaboration with the private sector.
Founded in 1847, Siemens stands for engineering excellence, innovation, quality and reliability. Focusing on electrification, automation and digitization, the company is active in more than 200 countries and employs around 351 000 people worldwide. In the 2016 fiscal year, Siemens generated revenue of EUR 79.6 billion and a net income of EUR 5.6 billion.
The ITF is an intergovernmental organisation with 57 member countries that facilitates global dialogue for better transport. It acts as a think tank for member governments and organised an annual summit of transport ministers. The CPB is the ITF’s platform for engaging with the private sector and enrich global transport policy discussion with a business perspective.
