Wood to Manage Transit and Rail Operations for WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff in Texas

In her new position, Wood is responsible for overseeing the firm’s involvement in transit and rail projects throughout Texas. She will also serve in management and technical roles on transit and rail projects.

Lindsay Wood is transit and rail manager for Texas at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff.

In her new position, Wood is responsible for overseeing the firm’s involvement in transit and rail projects throughout Texas. She will also serve in management and technical roles on transit and rail projects.

Wood, who will be based in the firm’s Austin office, has broad experience in planning and designing transit projects throughout Texas. Her areas of expertise include program management services and general engineer consultant, design management and oversight for high-capacity transit projects; freight and passenger rail feasibility and planning studies; rail operations modeling and operating performance analysis; benefit-cost analysis; preparation of federal funding grant applications; and railroad bridge inspections.

Prior to joining WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, Wood was responsible for the transit and rail operations of the Central and South Texas offices of an international engineering organization.

A licensed professional engineer in Texas, Wood received a B.S. in architectural engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. She currently serves as president of the Women’s Transportation Seminar Heart of Texas Chapter.
