Experts from WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff will offer presentations on management trends and new technologies impacting the consulting engineering industry

Experts from WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff presented on management trends and new technologies impacting the consulting engineering industry as part of the Annual Convention and Legislative Summit of the American Council of Engineering Companies, April 23-26 in Washington D.C. 

The conference will include ACEC’s annual Engineering Excellence Awards Gala, which recognizes the best engineering projects in the country. WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff has a role in five projects being recognized at the awards ceremony.

Gregory A. Kelly, president and chief executive officer, U.S. and Latin America, will take part in the conference’s opening session, “The New Political Landscape,” which will be moderated by Geoff Colvin, senior editor, Fortune magazine.

Several of the firm’s technical experts will participate in sessions throughout the conference.

Manisha D. Patel, associate director, environmental policy practice, will be part of a panel, Mega-Trends and Market Opportunities in Energy, that will address how the state/local energy landscape is fast changing the fundamental layout of the U.S. electric system, providing insights into how firms can take advantage of this transition toward a clean energy economy using mixed project portfolios and improved business models.

Dora Mandadjiev, global chief information security officer will be part of the panel, Confronting Escalating Threats to Cybersecurity, a discussion of proven measures chief information officers (CIOs) have taken in order to protect their firms from inevitable cybersecurity assaults.

Deborah Brown, vice president and director, alternative delivery advisory, will be part of Evolving P3 Markets: Current and Anticipated Changes, a discussion of what firms need to know as public-private partnerships (P3s) gain traction in the infrastructure marketplace.

Jim Walsh, senior vice president and chief information officer, U.S. and Latin America, will moderate CIO Roundtable: IT Leadership, a panel on lessons learned from navigating some of the biggest technology challenges in the architect/engineering industry; strategies in knowledge management, change management, and interaction between IT and workplace culture. Mr. Walsh will also take part in three other sessions on IT.
