TAM Welcomes Three Members to Board of Directors
The Transportation Association of Maryland (TAM) added one new member to its Board of Directors and elected two new executive committee officers at its General Meeting on May 10th. Jim Martin of American Bus Sales was elected Associate Member Representative, Sandy Wobbleton of Calvert County Transportation and Ron Skotz of RTA of Central Maryland were elected as Secretary and Treasurer, respectively.. Karen Bode of Baltimore County CountyRide and Rob Hart of Worchester County Commission on Aging were re-elected as At-Large Directors. The General Meeting included a formal business meeting and National Transit Institute (NTI) Harassment prevention training in addition to the Board elections. TAM's Fiscal Year 2018 budget was also approved by membership .
The eleven member Board of Directors works to execute TAM's mission and each serves a term of two years.
TAM represents every jurisdiction in the state of Maryland and has a very diverse membership of over 80 organizations. Members include public, private, and non-profit organizations that provide community transportation services enabling citizens to lead independent and productive lives, providing access to community services, improving air quality and reducing traffic congestion. Members also include other businesses who provide services, such as vehicle and equipment suppliers, transportation consultants, insurance companies, cellular phone companies, and many others.
