VHB has announced the promotion of Steve McElligott, PE, to senior vice president and national transportation agencies market leader. McElligott is responsible for prioritizing, developing, and implementing the strategic framework for the firm’s growing transportation practice. He will work with local, regional, and corporate leaders to assist clients with their most complex transportation challenges, helping make informed, smart decisions on where and how to improve existing and proposed infrastructure, while supporting the growth that is essential to the vitality of our communities.

McElligott has dedicated his 25-year career to providing technical delivery, management, oversight, and strategic guidance on complex transportation programs across the country, including Amtrak’s Ivy City Upgrade, Miami Dade Transit’s East-West Corridor, and Massachusetts Department of Transportation’s South Station Expansion Project. He has an in-depth understanding of client programs, policies, procedures, and the critical challenges facing transportation agencies today. His pro-active management approach is responsive to the limited resources available to agencies and he effectively tailors short -and long-term solutions that best meet their needs.
