AlphaVu Adds Transit Industry Veteran Alan Wulkan to Board of Advisors
AlphaVu has announced the appointment of transit industry veteran Alan Wulkan to its board of advisors. Wulkan brings over forty years of public transportation experience between work in the private sector and directly with public transit systems in Miami, Austin, and Phoenix.
“Alan is one of the leading voices in our industry,” said Scott Wilkinson, president of AlphaVu. “The depth of his experience and the breadth of his contacts within the transit space will bring immediate value to AlphaVu’s efforts to transform the way transit and infrastructure leaders understand public opinion. We’re honored to have him aboard.”
Wulkan has held a unique combination of positions at a diverse combination of agencies, including CEO of his own firm, a partner in a small consulting firm, senior vice president in one of the largest engineering firms in the world, and CEO of a public transit agency. He has served in leadership positions within the American Public Transportation Association, including seven years on the APTA Executive Committee, almost 15 years on the APTA Board of Directors, vice chair of the APTA Legislative Committee, co-chair of two Re-authorization Task Forces, co-chair of the PT2 Committee, chair of the Business Member Board of Governors, and member of the Workforce Development and By Laws Task Forces. Wulkan currently serves on the APTA Board of Directors, the APTF Board of Directors, the BMBG and Legislative Committee.
“AlphaVu is a game-changer for the entire industry,” said Wulkan. “Transit and infrastructure are public goods and must be designed and executed with public support. AlphaVu is helping leaders of both public and private transit organizations do that in ways that are truly transformational. The intelligence AlphaVu provides is absolutely critical to their work.”
