Margaret Simmons-Cross, senior vice president, based in Seattle, has been named division general manager for the Greater West Division of Mott MacDonald.
“Margaret has been a valuable member of Mott MacDonald for more than a decade, having contributed to the success of major transportation projects in our Western operations,” said Nick DeNichilo, president and CEO, Mott MacDonald North America.
In her new position, Margaret Simmons-Cross provides leadership to Mott MacDonald’s operations in Portland, Oregon; Seattle and Edmonds, Washington; Salt Lake City, Utah; and Lakewood, Colorado.
A registered professional engineer in five states, Simmons-Cross has been with Mott MacDonald for 12 years. Most recently, she was construction manager for Silicon Valley Rapid Transit’s BART Extension, a $2.4 billion program near San Jose. Prior to that assignment, she was project manager for the design of the Sound Transit Link light rail extension to SeaTac Airport.
An active member of the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS), Simmons-Cross was named the WTS Member of the Year in 2015 by the Bay Area Chapter.
