Adriene Hairston, MS, SHRM-SCP, has joined Cincinnati Metro as vice president of human resources. She is responsible for overseeing Metro’s human resources department and organizational training.
Hairston is an accomplished human resources professional with expertise in HR policy, diversity and inclusion, change management and compliance. Prior to Metro she served as director of agency human resources at Western & Southern Life, where she supported the organization’s 1,500 sales and administrative associates in twenty three states and 150+ office locations. She has also held leadership roles with Fifth Third Bank, Luxottica and Humana.
She is a member of the Greater Cincinnati Human Resources Association, the Society for Human Resources Management, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., in addition to serving as a volunteer for Women Helping Women and the YMCA Black and Latino Teen Achievers Program.
She holds a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Development from Xavier University and a Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Cincinnati. Hairston also holds the designation of Senior Certified Professional from the Society for Human Resource Management.
