Brian Kim has been named a supervising engineer in the Minneapolis office of WSP USA, formerly WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff.

In his new position, Kim will serve as a project manager on highway and transit projects and lead the expansion of the firm’s civil design practice in Minnesota. He will collaborate with colleagues throughout the United States to deliver innovative solutions to a broad range of public and private sector clients.

Kim is a transportation engineer with extensive experience in the design and management of transit and roadway projects throughout the United States and Canada. His project experience includes traditional design-bid-build and alternate delivery methods for both public and private sector clients. He joins WSP from a national engineering firm, where he was task lead for system-wide electrical for a $1.6 billion light rail project.

A licensed professional engineer in Minnesota and Ontario, Kim received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Rutgers University. His professional affiliations include the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Public Transportation Association, and Minnesota Surveyors and Engineers Society. He currently serves as co-chair for ASCE transportation committee, and volunteers with local animal shelters.
