Gregory A. Kelly, president and chief executive officer of WSP USA, received an Industry Recognition Award from the New York Building Congress at the organization’s 2017 Industry Recognition Gala at the Grand Hyatt New York on November 16.
The New York Building Congress, a broad-based membership association celebrating its 96th year, is committed to promoting the growth and success of the construction industry in New York City and its environs. The Building Congress promotes competence and productivity in the workplace, with special emphasis on public service, teamwork, and partnership with government.
“It’s a great honor to receive the 2017 Industry Recognition Award from an organization that has done so much to advance economic development in the New York metropolitan area,” said Kelly.
“As a board member and treasurer of the New York Building Congress, I value the work it does to promote an industry-wide agenda. Kelly oversees an organization that partners with clients to engineer buildings, transportation, energy, water and environmental projects. During its 132-year history, the firm has planned, designed and helped deliver significant infrastructure projects, including bridges, tunnels, transit systems, highways, airports, buildings, stadiums and energy storage facilities.
During a career that has spanned more than 30 years, Kelly has had a major impact on infrastructure issues throughout the U.S., earning industry recognition, partnering with clients to oversee delivery of complex programs, and advocating for infrastructure investment and public policy enhancements.
