Valley Metro has welcomed Brad Cummings as chief procurement officer and Phil Ozlin as manager, information technology.

Valley Metro has welcomed Brad Cummings as chief procurement officer and Phil Ozlin as manager, information technology.

Cummings is managing the operations of the contracts and procurement department. His responsibilities include planning, scheduling, monitoring of all contracting and purchasing activities for Valley Metro. This requires a high level of knowledge of state and federal procurement laws and acceptable procurement practices. It also requires a high degree of skill in contract drafting, negotiation and management. Before taking on his role at Valley Metro, Cummings was the director of procurement for the Utah State Board of Education.

Ozlin is providing leadership and oversight for all Valley Metro information technology operations. He also coordinates with the leadership of Valley Metro’s internal customer base and external partner operations including contractors, city of Phoenix I.T. and Maricopa Association of Governments I.T.. Prior to his current role at Valley Metro, Ozlin was the director of information technology for The Zippertubing Company.
