John Edmondson Joins Cincinnati Metro as Director of Procurement

John Edmondson has joined Cincinnati Metro as director of procurement. He is responsible for the day-to-day management of Metro’s procurement department.
Edmondson is an accomplished public transit professional with more than 13 years of experience as a state administrator and consultant. Prior to joining Metro, he served as a management analyst for The Ohio Department of Transportation, a project manager for a private consulting firm and spent eight years as the section chief for compliance at the Illinois Department of Transportation. Throughout his career, he has conducted comprehensive procurement reviews of more than 200 public transit operators and administered more than $60 million in federal funding for capital and operating projects in Illinois.
He is a member of the Community Transportation Association of America, the American Public Transportation Association and served as a Review Board member for the National Rural Transit Assistance Program.
Edmondson holds a bachelor’s degree in business and management and is currently completing a master’s degree in business administration in supply chain management from Western Illinois University.
