ABC Companies Appoints New Senior Account Manager for Western Territory
ABC Companies has announced the appointment of John Busskohl as senior account manager in ABC’s Western Region. Based in the Costa Mesa, California, facility, John will be responsible for coach sales in Northern California, Oregon, and Washington.
With a family history well-known and well-respected in the bus industry, Busskohl has his own extensive background in the motorcoach industry including operations, sales and relationship management. Busskohl began his career with Arrow Stages Lines, who as one of the founding companies of Coach USA, became his springboard into his career in the transportation field.
“Having been involved in bus operations along with purchasing many buses throughout my career gives me a customer’s perspective. With this background, I can provide a more consultative sales approach to help customers understand and obtain what is important to them,” said Busskohl.
Busskohl will report to Bryan O’Connell, senior vice president of ABC’s Western Region. “We are excited to welcome John to our team. He is an industry veteran with superior product knowledge and is focused on building and maintaining client relationships. He will be a definite asset to his client base and to our ABC Team,” remarked Bryan.
Busskohl has served on the Gray Line Worldwide Board of Directors and in 2017 was a vice chairman of Spader Group 708. He is also an active member of several industry organizations including CBA, UMA, and ABA.
A graduate from Iowa State University with a degree in Industrial Engineering, Busskohl and his wife, Susie, have recently relocated to Southern California. They have two daughters, Brooke, who is an auditor for Price Waterhouse Coopers in Dallas, and Emily, who is a junior at Texas Christian University. Busskohl enjoys hiking, biking, and playing tennis in his free time.
