New Members Selected to the St. Louis Arts in Transit Board of Directors

The Bi-State Development Board of Commissioners has approved the appointments of five members to the Arts in Transit Board of Directors during their April 27 board meeting.

The Bi-State Development Board of Commissioners has approved the appointments of five members to the Arts in Transit Board of Directors during their April 27 board meeting. Arts in Transit is a non-profit subsidiary of Metro Transit and facilitates public art programs in the St. Louis metro area.

The Arts in Transit Board of Directors is responsible for the oversight of Arts in Transit and its overall strategic direction, as well as determining its major fiscal, personnel, organizational and programmatic policies. Nominees to the Arts in Transit Board must include individuals from the visual arts and/or design, education and business communities. One member of the Bi-State Development Board of Commissioners must serve as an ex officio member.

The Arts in Transit Board of Directors include:

  • Tim Boyle – president, City Property Company
  • Amanda Colón-Smith – program director, Dutchtown South Community Corporation
  • Thad Duhigg – professor of art, Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville
  • Peter Tao – principal, TAO + LEE Associates, Inc.
  • Aliah Holman – treasurer, Bi-State Development Board of Commissioners

Those appointed to the Arts in Transit Board of Directors serve without compensation, and are eligible to serve two consecutive two-year terms.
