Urban Engineers Promotes John DiValentino to Vice President and Director of Strategic Operations
Urban Engineers has announced that John DiValentino, PE, has been promoted to vice president and director of strategic operations. He has been with the firm for 18 years, and previously served as the firm’s deputy director for facility construction management.
“I could not be more excited to have John filling this new position for Urban,” said firm President Kenneth R. Fulmer, PE. “He is a home-grown talent who has worked across disciplines, having been involved in many of our different service lines. He is the perfect choice to help align the firm’s resources.”
The expansion of Urban, both geographically and by practice, has necessitated the creation of this position. This new role comes with the responsibility of planning and implementing the firm's overarching development goals and vision across the firm. In this position, DiValentino will work closely with regional leaders, practice leaders, and corporate development to best position Urban.
DiValentino’s most recent responsibilities included overseeing the firm’s special inspections on the iconic Comcast Technology Center in Philadelphia, which is nearing completion. He has almost 20 years of experience in facility and transportation construction management, and has served in diverse roles. A registered Professional Engineer in three states, DiValentino earned an MBA in corporate finance from Temple University and his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the College of New Jersey.
