Wendel has announced Richard Cerne will join the construction management team as the chief cost estimator.
Cerne brings over a decade of experience as a senior project estimator where he focused on subcontractor outreach, accurate labor and material pricing from conceptual level estimates through detailed bid level estimates, and construction management of both private and public sector projects.
He also aims to modernize estimating practices, facilitating the introduction of cutting edge estimating and bidding software that increases accuracy and efficiency. Beyond his day-to-day duties, Cerne has held leadership roles in which he provides oversight, training and guidance for less experienced estimators. His experience and expertise will be a valuable addition to Wendel’s construction management practice.
