Bytemark announces new COO

Eric Reese has been selected to fill the position of chief operating officer for Bytemark, Inc., where he will oversee daily activities, ensure project advancement and lead longer-term strategic developments.

Reese brings extensive experience and invaluable perspectives from both the agency and provider sides. He has been instrumental in implementing fare payments solutions for some of the most challenging transportation networks both domestically and globally.

Before coming to Bytemark, Reese worked at Gannett Fleming, an American engineering firm, where he was a vice president for business development where he led their strategy growth in their Transportation/Transit & Rail Global business lines. Prior to that, he served as director for global strategy for Scheidt & Bachmann, a company that markets state-of-the-art parking and fare collection systems. There he headed up strategy, sales development and services for various U.S. markets and later expanded to global market oversight.

He also served as director of revenue for the Chicago Transit Authority, where he oversaw the development, implementation and transition of the Ventra fare payment as well as overseeing all its revenue, real estate and marketing efforts. Before that, he served in various senior leadership roles within the city of Chicago. He is a member of the Leadership APTA Class of 2019.
