Skanska USA selects new executive vice president and general manager
Skanska has promoted Ryan Aalsma to executive vice president and general manager where he will oversee regional operations in the Greater San Antonio, Texas, area.
Aalsma, who brings more then 20 years of experience, joined the company in 2002 and most recently served as senior vice president and account manager. In his time with Skanska, Aalsma has played an integral role in leading several high-profile projects and advancing business operations in San Antonio.
He has a substantial amount of regional project experience, including the Alamo Colleges District Support Operations Administration Complex, the Methodist Hospital expansion and renovation, and the Lackland Wilford Hall Ambulatory Care Center Phase 2 and Phase 3 for the United States Air Force.
In this new role, Aalsma will drive Skanska USA’s services in the market, overseeing the account management team and cultivating new opportunities and customer and stakeholder relationships in the area.

Aalsma received his bachelor’s degree in business management from Tarleton State University. He currently resides in San Antonio.
